Holidays at work - How many?

25 + bank hols, and any overtime I work I can either claim as overtime, or just save up the hours to get Time Off In Lieu. So often if I want the Friday off, I will just work a 4 day week (i.e. cram all my 37.5 hours into 4 days) and then free to take the Friday. On flexitime (its quite a liberal flexi too), so its a pretty good deal for me.

That is correct. For somebody who works 5 days a week. 28 days minimum.

Actually, the legal minimum isn't measured in days, it's measured in weeks - i.e. 5.6 weeks is the legal minimum.

Therefore 28/5 = 5.6.

If the poster previously is working 4 days then their leave entitlement should actually be 23 if measured in days (23/4 = 5.75).

Sorry, I took the easy answer.

If you always work four 12 hour shifts, followed by four days off (the ‘continental’ shift pattern) then the average working week is three-and-a-half 12 hour shifts. You would be entitled to 19.6 shifts of 12 hours as annual leave a year.

25.5 + bank holdidays + 13 accrued days, 4 of which are taken to make time for christmas break 9 we can allocate.

This year ive carried over 6 days leave as well.

I try not to take hols at short notice if we are going through a busy spell. But if ive booked a fortnight off well in advance and that coincides with a busy spell there aint much i can do about it.

33 + national holidays. Private IT sector. Have to be a little flexible around work when that time is taken (primarily as no cover is provided for my role).

Not enough. 22.5 days this year (not including bank holidays), although 3 days have to be taken between Christmas and New Year. It increases by 1 every year but the maximum allowed is 25.

30 days plus bank holidays. I work a 5 week shift cycle and get 12 off days during the 5weeks. So that kind of works out at another 144 days off a year. I knew there was a reason i liked working where i do.
I most certainly don't feel bad about taking time off :)

36 days a year, which includes any bank holidays we actually get off... plus anything the CO feels kind enough to grant us, plus any off the record days for doing favors etc;)
weekends dont count towards those days so it works out a bit more.

got 4 weeks coming up from the end of this week:D
10 days from last years account that i need to use before this years start, and 10 from this years for easter leave.
cant wait for end of play friday!!!:D
