My girlfriend was leaving work today and reversed into a colleague's car.

Assuming the colleague claims against my girlfriend. I assume we have to pay the compulsory + voluntary excess, (total £400). And she'll lose her 2 years NCB?

From what she has said, it sounds like slight damage to the drivers door and side fender.

The other driver drove away in a huff before the mrs could take any photos  :D

This is what I'd like to do, the other person is a bit of a loose cannon though. Hasn't returned any calls so far tonight..

You should only pay the excess if repairing your car i thought?

Can someone confirm is this is right?

I've never claimed had an accident or used insurance before..

If it does go to insurance, the mrs will be admitting liability.

Am I right in thinking the NCB will go from 2 years to 0 ?

Does the mrs call her own insurance up to say about the incident? Or do we give the policy number, name and phone number to the other girl?

Wait for this loose cannon to fire off her first salvo, Dodge the flack as required..
then Just offer to pay for the damage outside the insurance

Ok. Car is still totally drivable, but the door was hard to open apparently. The gf's car was unmarked

Toyota Yaris 1 - 0 Citroen C1.

Cheers Fox for the info, cheers Fuzz for the smiles :)

I'll update the thread with any damage pics as and when I get them, everyone likes a bit of damage

To be fair, most people would be like this after someone has hit there car, regardless of how much damage there is. just give them time to calm down...

I'm sure if you bashed the C1 into the side of the Yaris then it's door would be hard to open too!
