New iPad stock & launch day plans

I am just back from my local Tesco and there was a tannoy announcement in store saying they will be selling the new iPad from midnight tonight.

I live across the road from a big Tesco store so may try that.

No messing about looking at tracking numbers every 5 minutes for delivery Friday.

One 32gig black wifi new ipad sitting on my desk now, good old tescos.

Just went into Currys this morning and picked up a 64GB Wifi one. Like always they tried to sell me so many services. I am happy that I got it today as I am off to work on a boat for another 2 weeks tomorrow.

The salesperson said that there was one person queuing at 8 this morning :b
 
Running across to my local PC World as apparently they still have stock, can't be arsed waiting for Apple Pre-order 2nd batch. I'm gunning for it, Old Biddy, who picks up the last remaining 64gb 4G, Beware!
 
Covent Garden still has stock left, a work mate just went in and picked one up, there was about a 5 minute queue
 
Just bought mine from comet, 16gb wifi for £360 with my 10% SMS off comet voucher, didn't try to sell me any extras really, tethering with my iPhone now out and about, screen is nice, first iPad I've ever bought. Downloaded a few apps on my iPhone 3G.
 
Apple Store in Brighton had a roped off area for people to queue up earlier. You had to take a ticket and line up to buy an iPad.

At 12:15 there was 1 person in the queue and about 30 staff inside looking bored. Loads of stock up on the counter tops at the end of the shop.
 
So the chances of walking in to a store saturday afternoon when i get off work and being able to buy one are looking good?

My mums apple hooked, feeling like doing the nice thing:)
 
I'd say your chances are less likely at end of play on a Saturday afternoon. There will be a lot of shoppers out on a Saturday!

Picked up a 32gb White wifi from Chester. Thought it'd be quite difficult to get hold of one but was surprisingly easy in the end. Don't live particularly near to an Apple store so it was great to be able to get hold of one local(ish!)
