I recently acquired a low end laptop which I intended on using just for web browsing and office but the gamer inside cant help but want to play the odd game in between boring spread sheets.
The spec is as follows:
Windows XP
Intel dual core 1.6ghz
1gb
Crappy shared memory Intel

Can anyone recommend any games playable on this spec, the games must be available on steam.

Cheers

Plants vs Zombies? :)

My first idea. Peggle should be fine as well and gets quite addictive.

You will find quite a lot of older games will work quite nicely on there. Maybe have a browse on GOG and see what they offer - then see if a steam version is availiable?

Thanks for all the suggestions, this has turned out to be a very expensive thread. Ive started now so keep them coming :)

This laptop is fast becoming a mobile games machine, I have never played Total Annihilation but now is the time to try it. I totally forgot about the commandos games used to be addicted to them back in the day along with broken sword... I never going to get any work done :)
