Alcatraz

She had a nice flimsy top in epsiode 2 but that was all the sexy we ever got. They need to tone down the tomboyness

It's definitely improving now that they have introduced more of a story arc and are starting to fill in some of the back story. First few episodes were very formulaic.

It's worth watching just to see Sarah Jones run.

I couln't agree more. It's like two puppies fighting to get out of a sack. Alas, it's the only good thing about this show. The flash back scenes are great. Lots of atmosphere and good acting. Every scene set in modern day SF is pish of the highest order.

I've been distinctly unimpressed with this so far. It's just so... shallow. It isn't terrible, and it has plenty of room to improve, but it just feels very weak and formulaic.

[Sam Neil drama-voice] "but that's not what happened... Not at all" [/Drama voice]

The only reason to watch is the insane hotness of the female lead. She needs more "baywatch" style scenes where we see her chasing down a perp in slow motion. In fact, that needs to be a weekly staple.

Posting this just because I can.

Watched the first episode on Watch last night. I like the premise, but knowing of the involvement of JJ Abrams, it doesn't fill me with confidence.

I've only seen the first episode. It came across as a story idea for an episode of Fringe that they though they may be able to get a little more mileage out of by creating a series. I don't expect it to be picked up for a second season.

I have been watching it since it aired in the US. There are a couple/few story arcs flowing thru this. I'm not going to say what they are for the UK viewers. Its causing me more questions than answers tho.

Its like a toned down fringe, but it is from JJ Abrams.

hmmmm

So we have reached the end of season one of "Fatman and Tomboy"

Thoughts ?

Me , Iam still kinda Meh about the whole thing , it passess the time but is not
really gripping..... pity

ah, bugger. i saw it on sky a few weeks ago but it was season 3 repeat. if only sky had catchup.

what time/night is it on. i can try and track down the first 2.
You in the right thread fella? It's only on season 1 :p

As for when it's on i have no idea, my virgin box only gets turned on for the news for me and the soaps for the missus these days, i tend to just torrent the files once they release in the US. Full Virgin TV package before anyone moans, i just prefer to watch early.

It's also nothing like the 4400 other than the disappearing and reappearing mysteriously part, i'd say it's more akin to the formula used by conspiracy shows like Fringe or even Alias, just not as good. Week by week crime case with undertones of conspiracy behind it all.
