Along with the rest of Giantbomb.com

They got bought out.

Giant Bomb and Comic Vine are now in the same family as GameSpot and GameFAQs. The entire editorial teams from those sites are coming over, as is Dave. This marks a reunion of sorts as we’ll get to work with our friends over at GameSpot again. Giant Bomb will continue to operate as its own unique site.

Yeah watching the video announcements about the Whiskey Media split now.

He'll finally let out the true story about the whole Kane & Lynch, firing stuff as well.

Another surprise for me was seeing Tested x Mythbusters. ****ing mind blown right there and awesome for them.

According to Jeff, they will stay the same and keep their own creative control. Occasional appearances from each site's editors will happen though. Kevin VanOrd and the GiantBomb crew, who would thought!

There sttll giantbomb. The thing that makes Giantbomb the best video game site are the people. Just now they have a bit of $ behind them.

Looking forward to it

So to sum it up, bad management and advertising money, pretty much what all the years of rumours have been.

But yeah, good to know that GiantBomb will still be the same, but now with more money and resource backing!

As long as Giantbomb doesnt change im all for this. The staff at GB are the best out there, everything they produce is informative and has personality behind it and they have become people I can really trust to tell me all sides of a story or game review and MORE IMPORTANTLY have proven that they review on what they see and NOT how much money they can earn, even if it means losing their jobs/quitting. (the 07 issue)
at the end of the day their guys with real honest passion - something missing so much in the VG industry.

Im not all to familar with Gamespot i occasionally listen to their podcast but does pale compared to GBs one.
At least it isnt like the 1UP to IGN merger - yuk yuk yuk.

Yeah that kinda sucks that it's instantly been turned into Will and Norm being simply a part of Adam and Jamie's site rather than the other way around.

Would have to assume they're ok with it though, and looking at it objectively it does make more sense for it to be that way.

Are they apart of Mythbusters as well? Is there still a tv show? Don't really follow those guys.

Really gonna miss the whiskey media office and all the dumb stuff they did. No big live live show live this year. :(
