Street Fighter V.S. Tekken

I do that because online is ass at the moment.

The netcode is no worse than AE in my opinion, outside of the sound issue which after a while you get used to (atleast I did anyway) everything feels fine. Ranked can be a little dodgy sometimes but certainly nothing that would discourage me from playing, haven't had any problems at all on endless battles. Again this is all from the PSN perspective, haven't tried XBL yet but I'd be surprised if there was much difference as there normally isn't.
 
Definitely worse than ae, even ignoring the sound issue. It could just be because I'm playing different peril than ae but for me anyway it's clearly worse for lag.
 
Yeah, pretty much the worst fighting game online atm. Offlien has none of the online issues, but I haven't played anywhere near enough to judge the game.
 
I don't think Jin's damage is great.
Best I can figure is 383 no bar, 434 1 Bar(tag), 422 1 bar no tag, 500 with 2 bars and about 550 with 3 bars.
I might just be spoilt buy Kaz's high damage though.
What kind of damage are you guys getting?

He has MvC3 on the Vita. He's never really played regularly/competitively iirc?

But Im playing UMvC3 on the Vita once in awhile at the moment and slowly understanding the mechanics.

(I read vias guide which is good advise, are there any other online resources to get some idea on bread and butter stuff to get me going?)

I am struggling to complete any characters mission 9 or 10 on the mission section (I know thats bad as I am sure mission 9/10 combos are textbook for most of you).

Anyway I need to grab hold of AE sometime... and eventually SFvT at some point also.
 
actually the mission 9/10 in mvc3 are mostly useless combos. at that point you should make up your own combo or just copy whatever combo people do on stream, youtube, srk forum.

the cross counter guide with viscant is really good for the basic strategies and team construction. this is for old mvc3 but everything still applies to umvc3.

Vian, what combo are you doing with Kaz, you don't seem to be getting quite as much damage as me.

cr.mp, cr.hp, qcb lp. from there i do c.hp into mist step upper cut kick with no meter. cr.hp into ex qcb lp, cr.hp, qcf lp with 1 bar. cr.hp into super with 2

i can actually do more damage if i switch cancel into steve in the corner, not really worth it mid screen though.

His are more than yours, all the listed damages are generally with just that character. You can always get more with a tag.

I'm actually doing the same combos but getting slightly more damage. Wierd.
You can get more if you use EWGF (the 100 damage purple uppercut) though, it's not practical because the move is stupid but I've gotten around 420 with no bar.

I meant with Kazuya, all the damage I listed was with Jin.

i think vega is sick in this game, especially with all the time overs. his damage is decent too for a hit and run character if you have a high damage character to tag in.
 
He plays like Balrog in SFIV. Incredibly linear and obvious with pretty much no mixups, but SOLID damage and great normals.

AA sucks really bad though for an SF character.
