Would you leave your wife if she got fat?

LMAO wut!?!

No. I wouldn't. However, if they got obese and refused to do anything about it when I asked repeated times (If it was something that I didn't like), then it would show that they didn't really care about you, which would be an actual reason to consider splitting unless that could be sorted out.

Be aware there are medical conditions that make it almost impossible to lose weight though.

I think simulatorman put it quite consisely :-)

I can see your point.

My ex once asked me if I would leave her if she got fat. My answer was yes, I don't like lazy people. I prefer the slimmer figure, if she ain't interested in keeping me happy, why would I want to keep her happy.

Be different if I married her, then I wouldn't marry a women that would end up fat.

I find it amazing that every single one of us on these forums will know several people who eat & drink all day, do no exercise but never put weight on but these same people find it hard to believe that exactly the opposite happens.

I don't know anyone like that... I do however know lots who claim to eat loads and never put weight on. It turns out their idea of 'loads' isn't the same as mine. The same goes for the opposite "all I eat are salads yet I'm 20 stone!" YEAH OK LOL.

Fat isn't something I find attractive, and not just the physical aspect, so yes.

I have similar viewpoint though if we're talking wife + kids then no I wouldnt leave her just because she got a bit fat - would certainly try to address the issue constructively. Women will put on some weight after having kids and growing older etc...

A girlfriend on the other hand - yes because it would reflect an underlying change in the person - I'm fairly active so wouldn't date someone who's free time is mostly occupied sat on a sofa and/or eating junk. If someone I was dating turned into someone like that then I'd probably end it with them - them becoming fat is more a symptom being inactive/lazy and not looking after themselves is the real issue. (a girlfriend who gained weight after say an accident, for example, would be a different issue)

All wihtin reason to be honest. Personally I'd like to think that the person I marry would have the same sort of ideals etc.

I also wouldn't want them obsessed with weight all their life either. There will be a time hopefully when the lifestyle will be wine and fine foods abroad. :D

The lass I'm seeing at the moment is a size 8 which I find agreeable.

Hell no, I'd just get fat with her and be able to eat loads of food all the time. It would be epic.

because the majority of those people don't eat and drink as much as they think.
