Hi guys,

The bf and I have just got a new place and are in the process of renovating before moving in - so figured we might as well try and fill it with toys while we're ripping everything out :D

We're looking at creating a wireless multi-room audio set up, hopefully using airplay. I have a Denon DF101 separates system which I'll be using in the living room. Is there any form of airplay receiver that can be plugged into this? We're also looking at getting an airport extreme.

How would I go about transmitting audio to other rooms? Thinking ceiling speakers :)

Any advice greatly appreciated

Thanks!

Thanks Daz. Sorry, totally clueless when it comes to this! Had a look and it says that you need to connect airport express to the speakers via an audio cable.

Does this mean we'd need one airport express per set of speakers if we wanted to run this throughout the house? Also, how would this work with ceiling speakers? :S

Cheers

yes 1 airport per room, it plugs in via optical or phono plugs.
with ceiling speakers you just plug them into the amp like with any other speakers. if you are worried about the cabling all you need is a power cable as the airport can be set up to connect wirelessly to the network.

your ceiling speakers will still need to be connected to an amp... its not magic you know... :)

you can actually get wireless speakers though, so they might just need connecting to a power source
