hi, not familiar with alloy wheel. is there any difference for the wheel nuts? Tried to source one but most are for alloy wheel. have been running for 12k over the last 3 years with one stud without nut. been told it's not safe since the stud might have gone into the hub and once it's stuck, it will lock the wheel.

There's generally two types of wheel nut. Some that are domed where they meet the wheel (which is probably what you need for a steel wheel) and some that are flat. If in doubt call a dear for your model of car and ask them what it should have then source them. Running without all wheel nuts is rather foolish!

Alloy ones are generally smaller and tapered but can also be flat, the angle can be different so check, some have a washer around the head.

How did you pass 3 MOT's with a wheel nut missing?

i wonder as well.
good job kwit-unfit. I won't even notice if it didn't puncture last tuesday, though I actually found out when I finally got time to look and change the tyre on thursday. a bit of shock when the wheel cover is off.

just bought one of the bay from a breaking of the same car model. probably faster (and cheaper) to try my luck at scrap yards, but don't really want to drive in this condition (not when I knew about it :p).
