Wondering the above as I'm not really sure what to do, two pretty good physio's have come to this conclusion, one suggesting physio and still undergoing work with the other, though he sounds confident its a minor tear.

I'm keen to avoid surgery as I do not recover well after it. However both physios have essentially said no squats or similar movements and with my legs already rubbish this is annoying and worrying.

Is it possible to look after your ROM closely and get squatting properly? I managed a few months of just hitting parallel then stupidly went deep and all hell broke loose again.

So just wondering if anyone else has been through this and what they did?

While squats are good, they aren't the be all and end all :)

There are loads of things you can do for legs. Mind you, you may want to ask them to see what they think...As I can't see why a front squats for instance would be THAT much different from say a lunge :p
