**The Official Nokia Lumia 800 Thread***

What does diagnostics say? (##634# in call on phone number input screen)?

Nothing. It show a picture of an empty battery and has no values next to voltage or current.

Edit; If I go into settings > battery saver it says there is 82% remaining, which sounds about right as I've charged it this afternoon. So it is gathering some information from somewhere.

Had a chat with somebody I know from Nokia. It seems their focus is to differentiate through their own tacked on software. Nokia Drive and Music is the start with TV and others to come.

This is a known issue. No software can fix the problem. It'll need to be replaced. Sending to Nokia Care you should have a brand new one within a week.

I wouldn't go shouting about that you have a 'friend in Nokia that is giving you information'. You risk his job.

The things that i wish were in the marketplace are more functional apps such as Tesco (one that works), banking, betting and stuff like that.

Even with these i can still use the browser so no biggie but it would be nice to have dedicated apps for these sites as the websites are often a pain to use on the small screen.

use the ocado app rather than tesco, ocado is far better anyway

Dropped mine into Nokia Care yesterday but because of the nature of the fault it still has to be sent back to Nokia. They couldn't say if I would be getting a new handset or they would just replace the battery. Did say it would take two weeks though.

Had a call already to say the phone is ready, and that they have managed to fix it without changing the battery. I'm not sure I believe it myself and have a feeling all they have done is reset the phone which I told them only fixes the problem temperairily.

The latest WP7 is 7.10.8107.79 but I believe there has also been a Lumia 800 specific update, so which firmware should I see running on the handset? I want to make sure it's working on the latest version before taking it back.

I still cant get to diagnostics...restarts dont help...dozens of attempts as well...

I would like to know what capacity the battery has etc...

The latest is xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.12070 but you may have xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.11501 which is second till latest and will update when connected to Zune.

If you are on 12070 software you won't be able to see the battery capacity as it has been removed on the latest diagnostics software.

 I'm on 12070 and the diagnostics app shows my battery capacity as 'Full Charge Capacity : 1442 mAh'
