Don't normally ask this question about cards but just wanted conformation regarding these 2 cards.

by next week ill have roughly £450 to spend on a card,it pains me to spend this much as the most ive ever spent on a card is £150,but i want a card that will last at least 2 years as im forever upgrading im small steps...ie...4650,5850,6879 and currently a 570 (which has been sold),ive got 2x470's here which are watercooled but im selling them also to get enough to get a big card.

so,which would card out of the 2 ive listed would be better ?

i game on a 28" 1900x1200 monitor and play first player shooters.

also got a 620 watt corsair psu which will be replaced by a 1200watt within a month.

will this psu run either card for a month ?

sorry for the wall of text but need to know what one to get.
 
Neither, GTX680 is right around the corner and according to benches is better than both, and probably within your price range.
 
Personally I think the current pricing of the 580 3GB rules them out of contention (if it were my dosh).

I'd be looking to buy either a 7970 or a 680.
 
to be honest with you,ive had a lot of ati cards and ended up having trouble with my last card (6870),but i got a 570 and the drivers are very nice and have been rock solid for month's.

i have seen the news on the new batch of cards from nvidia but will wait until something concrete comes out regarding prices and speed's.

Did you end up selling your 570? Was tempted by that. :)
