Ok I am on my 2nd the new iPad and still finding the white balance being too warm. My iPad 2 had a good white balance on par with my iPhone 4s but the new iPad both of them seem to have a warm white balance.

Anyone else notice this?

So I am guessing that each screen that are fitted to iPad are not all been set to the same colour temp so that why some are good and some are not... It not a fault of the screen it the fault of apple not putting in Colour control within the settings..

Any photo's of this supposed 'Warm' white balance?

I'm unsure as to what you mean, but i've thoroughly enjoyed the look of mine, but i'd hate to find i'm being juped by an actually sub-par screen compared to some :P

Mine is like the one on the right when i've just compared it, very happy :) i love the screen, and prefer the slightly brighter ipad 3 to the ipad 2. I've compared it with the bosses at work and everybody agree's this is miles ahead. i work in as a network engineer at a hospital, so we're all pretty tech heads and have had iphones and ipads on our network for a long while.

Mine is like the middle one image - but in the upper left portion of my ipad screen when viewed in portrait mode. In the lower right it is cooler white lol. Uniformity is all over the place. Luckily it can only be noticed on largely white backgrounds i.e mail or ibooks.

You are returning it then?

It depends on how battery drainage observations go tomorrow. As I'm on holiday throughout this week I can at least use the device heavily.

The uniformity of the screen, or lack of does bother me a tad, but really bothers me is that I feel my battery is draining much faster than it should. I have read that folks are getting a day or two of use on their iPads without charging it. I can barely manage a day. Bluetooth is off, the screen is at 50% brightness and 3G cellular is off.

Battery is my last concern now, it hasn't felt enough at times when i'm sat on it generally just browsing, but i have been a fiend and had the brightness full whack to sit & stare at it's glory :P
