I will make London a beacon of Islam

i think we need a new religion ,it should be called "being good". it has but 1 commandment,be good or people will think your a douchebag. Simple.

I reckon Americanism can be boiled down to a somewhat similar thing:

You infringe my rights, I can shoot you.
I infringe your rights, you can shoot me.

Why would you want to marry your cousin? That's so wrong. These type marriage also exist in China, very small percentage.

I will not be voting for anyone that brings religion into politics. It is fundamentally wrong.

I have no objection to London being a place of multiculturalism and people learning about different faiths. After all, Islam brought many cultural advances to the Western world, I think the current legal system, jury etc, stem from ideas taken from islamic systems. It's not about jihads and cutting thieves' hands off.

Quick skim through the text suggests he is just wanting to increase the understanding of what islam is about. Fair enough.

Yes it's the 'Free Thinkers' register. It's kept next to the smoking mans packet of Marlboro's.

Well I was joking but a lot of the phrases in this thread would be flagged. Mostly the quran stuff probably. that's just how it works, they need raw data. It wouldn't actually lead to anything unless it meshed with some real world intel though, which it doesn't.

Ah, I see it's time for our biweekly thread to **** off other races and religions.

Stay classy OcUK.

Ken seems to make a habit of associating with wronguns...

he had his flirtation with Irish Republicans back in the 80s... still has links to dodgy left wing groups today and more recently he's appeared to have become chums with a whole array of terrorist sympathizing, anti semetic tossers...

first the Yusuf al-Qaradawi controversy and now the Finsbury Park mosque with its previous association with Abu Hamza and its current links with Hamas....

Showing support to a religion such as Islam is one thing, in general a politician supporting a religious minority who face discrimination such a Muslims do in the UK is very positive step. But flirting with the people at one extreme of that religion who embrace the very worst stereotypes of Muslims is not constructive at all.

I was worried about Boris embarrassing the whole country when the world spotlight is on London for the Olypmics, now he seems like the lesser of two evils. Basically in an Olympic year, Londoners have a choice between a buffoon and Osama bin London. Great.

I see what you did there

Agreed. I also don't understand how a group (ie Muslim Association of GB) that has been linked to a "banned terror group" (ie Hamas) and whose spokesman "is on record as supporting suicide bombings" is allowed to operate, let alone be publicly supported by a mayoral candidate. Am I missing something?

Religion would be all fine and dandy were it not for fanatics and zealots. If you want to know how essentially peaceful and loving his ideology is, ask a zealot to choose between questioning their faith and having you killed... your sacrifice will demonstrate his sincere devotion :p

Ken should know better than to court this subject in the way he is doing; but if he's as self-serving as most politicians, then he's right on track.

At least boris makes me laugh. Ken has always made me feel vaguely embarrassed on his behalf.
