No this is not a Christian country. It may have been run by Christians (or perhaps Jews) for a long time, but we're gradually moving away from that.

I see what you mean about people refusing to integrate, but I think it's important that we all make an effort to help people to integrate.

The thing is dude, I honestly believe that part of the issue lies in each group's hands.

Additionally, since when was it eye for an eye? I don't care what would happen to me in Qatar etc. This is England and we follow our laws not theirs. If they want to do that there then it's up to them I guess. That's why I live in England not in Qatar. I really don't understand that point of view.

And perhaps their binge drinking laws are sensible. It is, essentially, a poison.

What? There are already ghettos for every minority all over Britain, and regardless of anything, those people will never integrate purely based on their own ignorance and blatant victim syndrome.

Promoting conversion is not promoting tolerance.
 
I think that perhaps I've overlooked his attempt to make as all Muslims. However, I do think it's a good idea for him to encourage people to learn about something which they are, evidently, so ignorant about. I've no desire to live in an Islamic country.

There are ghettos for every minority but currently I think the Islamic ghettos are the ones which people are concerned about.
 
I thought we had religious education in place to handle that, why does any religion need to be fundamentaly promoted among the public, especially the worst one of them all?

This is exactly my point, they should follow our laws to the letter, but I don't see that happening too often ? There is constant talk of implementing Shariah courts etc for 'their community'

people need to stop getting hung up on the the binge drinking part. I was not referecning the fact that we should be able to binge drink in Arab countries, simply that if we deviated from their laws you'd be in deep crap. Where as some muslims in this country seem to think British Law doesn't or shouldn't apply to them. If thats the case then frankly they have no business being here

or maybe they just need to make a better effort to integrate and then most of the issues raised would be non starters ? Seriously coming to this country to live and not even making a basic attempt to learn the language or make an effort to learn the basic history is pathetic.

Believe me Boris is much less of the two evils. Council Tax almost doubled in London with Ken and we saw no improvements at all, in fact they halved the rubbish collection
