**The Official Nokia Lumia 800 Thread***

The latest is xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.12070 but you may have xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.11501 which is second till latest and will update when connected to Zune.

Thanks. I want them to apply the update while I'm still in store if it's not up to date. Last thing I want is to get back home, apply the update and find the fault returns.

With what Meeko said, should I be able to see the remaining charge in diagnostics which the latest update or not?

You'll be able to see remaining charge, yes. Just won't see battery capacity.

You can view remaining charge percentage in Battery Saver menu option anyway.

Yeah I know about the battery saver. I'm just trying to think of things I can check to see if it's actually working properly.

It will be. The battery capacity issue has been solved. We have had the occasional one with the question mark on the battery, but the capacity is fine.

I went to go see the phone and as I expected all they had done was reset the phone, they hadn't updated it all. Some of the info was showing in diagnostics but it was draining the battery at over 200mAh which was one of the problems in the first place.

So I left the phone with them and said either get it working properly with the latest update or send it back to Nokia to deal with, which is what should have happened the first time.

Why is 200mA of battery drain a problem? Presumably the screen is lit up at the time with 3G connected. The current fluctuates, but that would seem pretty normal, even after a 12070 update.

Idle discharge should be around 80-100 on the 12070.

But if you're checking it, it's not idle.

Under 100 might be ok with flight mode on, but it won't stay there consistently if the phone isn't near to mast or is synching in the background, or bluetooth is on, or the auto screen adjust is making it bright etc. Basically, checking diagnostics and seeing 200mA+ does not necessarily mean there is a problem.

If I leave the phone on the diagnostics screen it generally shows around 80-100. That's with 3G and WiFi on. Sure it's not going to stay there forever, but on the old software mine never went below 200.

O2 seem to be doing a decent offer for the Lumia 800 and 710 until thursday

Nokia is offering the Nokia Lumia 710 and 800 for free on contract on O2 UK, but only until the end of the month.
The Nokia Lumia 800 is available for free on a low £21.50 a month contract (with 200mins, 250 O2 to O2 mins, 500MB, and unlimited texts) while the Nokia Lumia 710 (with 50mins and 250 texts) will set you back only £16.50 a month.

Well after the 12070 update just having the screen on with automatic brightness, 3G and wifi mine averages about 90 so there must be a reason his is over twice that?

20% battery left after 1 day and 14 hours of admittedly low use, not too shabby but I wish they'd update the apps as that's all I really miss from my iPhone.

Did anyone get the Creative Studio app from Nokia?...really really good, cant wait to get down to the new Titanic quarter and try the panoramic setting, works so well.

Can anyone tell me if this phone supports proxies within ie9 over WiFi to connect to enterprise networks?

Thanks!

You can set a proxy on the wifi connection, which I assume effects everything that uses a network connection on the phone.

I can't see an option to set a proxy just for IE9 traffic.

Whats the current best price to get one of these sim-free?

Getting bored with Android and was thinking of trying out Windows :)
