Anyone seen worse than this?

so far dimple wins lol,i have an urge to go into his PC with a can of air ,a brush and a gasmask :p To be fair i've left my PC sitting in my room for like 6 months without cleaning it and it gets almost as bad as that but now that i dont smoke da reefa it shouldnt be as bad:D

I've seen a lot worse. Sometimes I get machines that have a layer around 1/2 inch thick in the bottom of the case and complaint is "it keeps switching itself off". Usually find the heatsink fan is totally clogged as well.

Will try and find some photos.

That's about 2 years with no smoke :D

Mind you I've just sold my old Q6600 system and it looked brand new by the time it left me.

Mine right now and I always leave the side off, have done since 1988 (which was only desktops then so I left the top off).

Look at the perfectly placed SSD.

I blame the Q6600, for being so damn good that I didn't open my case in 3 years :D

Ive seen loads worse than that, ive got customers that run old dos stock systems, that are network boot pcs that are as old as 286's (hey if it works why change it)

And as you can imagine a PC that old in a warehouse enviroment has got some pretty grim dust inside it.

Oh god, i've just remembered the worst story i've ever heard about this. On work experience with some council IT department, one of the guys was telling me how they sometimes get called to a crematorium to fix something or other. One time he'd figured it was a hardware problem and opened the case to have a look.

I believe what he said next was "retched" followed by "then i ran away and told them i'd bring them a new one."
