I was in the Apple Store in Brighton yesterday afternoon.

As I was browsing around one of the staff was talking to a colleague. He looked at all the customers in the shop and quipped "It must be 30s day today"

I felt old and uncool.

:(

Yeah but at least you're not a mindless gibbering zombie who jumps up and down because a new bloody iPhone or iPad is released and then get called an Apple Genius when all you do is plug the device into a computer where the software tells you what's wrong. Genius my arse.

I did talk to a guy for a second. I noticed his name tag said "Bob - Genius" on it.

My wife saw me smirk and stood on my toe to stop me saying anything about it.

You should have asked him about when does he think the LHC will show definitive signs of the Higgs Boson and what are the implications for the Standard Model if the Higgs Boson doesn't exist.

He'd have cried to his mummy.

Not really. He'd have wondered why some complete loon would go to the apple store to ask an employee about physics.

I would never buy a mac, I think there overpriced for what they are. ( I do have a iPad and iPhone tho )
But apple stores are really nice. Well laid out, plenty of display models that they don't mind you playing with and they do have some very nice kit in them.

I think more shops should be set out like this.
