Are these likely to be sold really cheaply as they came out in 2008? The reason I ask is that I've just bought one off the bay from Ireland for like half the price of the new versions of the 64gb corsair ones. I'm thinking I may have bought a fake, but it was too good to say no to.

It's almost guaranteed to be a fake. Have you tried finding out what the actual capacity is?

Personally, I wouldn't bother with 64GB USB 2.0 flash drives since they tend to be really slow. Might be worth looking at USB 3.0 drives instead.

The usb 3.0 drives are like £60-70 tho, so spending half that on a usb2.0 version is awsome for 64gb, if its the real deal:confused:

I received the drive today and its fake:mad:

1. No accessories
2. blue led light missing
3. you can bend about a quarter of the rubber at the end where the led light is ment to be
4. no numbers/sn on the rubber
5. the blue comes off on your hands
6. wont format to ntfs, only to exFat
7 the lid/cover is all squashy

But its passed the burn in test:D

So whats the next move guys??

Talk to corsair, they would be interested in knowing who is flogging gear with their name on it. They may even give you a freebie or two:)

ebay been selling these fake usb pens for many years now, I dont touch any of them anything from china or Asia and its fake, guess that is the best way to make profit :)

I had a customer who brought one for a few quid and he said it has a issue formating... I told him that is cos its fake and it will never work, it formated in exfat and fat 32 and shows 64gig but he said when he got to 30gig it stopped working and it would not let him copy his files back lol

Even till this very day he still belives its a 64gig working stick....

Yeah I would have gone for a usb 3.0 pen drive even if it was 16 or 32gig.... would be awesome to just load the o/s on it.

Atm Im copying 64gb worth of data on the pen to see how much will fit, then it will give my more ammo to throw at the seller and its writing the data at a rubbish 4.91mb/s to the pen. But yeah if I get my money back Im going to buy 1 of these from ocuk.
