I'm looking for a card to support three Dell U2311H's.

It wont be used for gaming, just simply to power the monitors. I'd prefer Nvidia, but I'm open to ATI if the price is right.

U2311H has VGA, DVI and Displayport. I'd prefer not to use the VGA.

Suggestions on postcards please :D Orr.... write below :)

nVidia cards only support two monitors, with the exception of the 680 which clearly isn't an option for you. Just look for any AMD card that supports Eyefinity and has the right connection types. The 6770 fits the bill but there should be a cheaper option out there.

Cheers for that!

What's the best way to use the display port? The 5450 supports eyefinity and has dvi,vga and hdmi. What's the best way to hook up the u2311h's?

I'm thinking, VGA-VGA \ DVI-DVI \ HDMI- either displayport cable or adapter?

What's peoples thoughts?

I don't think you can't use the VGA, DVI and HDMI at the same time.

If your motherboard allows you could run a pair of HD 5450's, not in CrossFire, and run two monitors fron one and the third from the other.

Or if you have integrated graphics you may be able to run two from a HD 5450 and the third from the integrated.

After a bit of research. It would appear it was a grey area. Apparently the displayport versions could do it and the HDMI versions couldn't etc etc.

Needed the active display port adapter and it was all a bit of a faff. Decided to buy two Nvidia GT220 I think it was and I'll run them together, not in SLI of course. I'm sure that will work fine. It better, I've bought them now.
