Dave Beast, do you like what you post on these forums?
I always just read the forums and don't post, but logged in to give you a sad face.
I don't have a 680 before you say![]()
Read the post above yours whilst taking your green coloured spectacles off pal![]()
That's rich coming from you. I'm wearing none while your irrational rants are proof of the red tint on yours.
Funnily enough at 5760X1080,which is the resolution the OP wants to play at,the HD7950 3GB is matching both the HD7970 3GB and GTX680 2GB in BF3!!
Their testbed is using a Core i7 3960X too. I wonder if the cards are either running out of VRAM or have insufficient memory bandwidth in this case??
Edit!!
The HD7950 3GB has a higher framerate at 5760X1080 than at 2560X1600?? That cannot be right??
I've quoted it for you, cold hard facts. I can understand why you're so angry that Nvidia are hoodwinking the enthusiast community with their overclocked offering, but there's no need to get all hormonal with complete strangers on the internet.
The only thing I've got issues with is the hot pile of faeces you keep dumping on this forum. Well, I think it's time to hit that ignore button I keep hearing about.
If you look at my original 7970 OC results on original drivers, the new NV card is only marginally slower in Heaven.
ATI 7970 does seem to have the slight edge when both cards are overclocked, but the NVIDIA card seems to be better optimised in games.
Sound wise the 680 is the quietest card I've tested yet and it never goes beyond 80c under load and generally sits around 60c under load.
I believe nVidia has the better multi monitor software support.
Don't need too Dave, posts like yours in here are pure drivel.
They considered MLAA2.0 superior to FXAA in image quality but with a greater performance hit in that game. I have a feeling it is very dependent on the game,so hopefully a few more websites will have a look at MLAA2.0. AFAIK HardOCP and Toms Hardware said they will in the near future.
And I was going to bed as well.
Most of what you have said in here and most of the other threads is pure and utter drivel.
They are faster@1080p, @1GHz they are faster than both of the latest cards in nearly every game out there, they have been faster and cheaper and being used for over year now, and by the looks of things, they will stay there until something better comes along.
Your point is when I have 2 unlocked highly clocked 6950's?A 680 or 7970 at stock is at least 1.5 times more powerful than 1 of your 6950's at 1ghz.
They wouldn't be as good on multiple displays like a pair of 680's or 7970's, heck, even a single 680 or 7970 would be better than a pair of 6950's on multiple displays.
Doubt it Rroff, imo, Amd have been doing it longer with eyefinity.
Just to let you know as a finishing point Dave, if this was my question to the forum, you would have single handedly made me click 'buy' on a 680 due to your arrogance.
With that I wish you a scincere Buona notte e sogni d'oro.
