The PRODUCT has 4G capabilites no matter where you put it!!!!!
The COUNTRY may not have 4G capabilities, what fault of Apple's is that?

Fixed it for you:

The PRODUCT has 4G capabilities in North America only!!!!!
The COUNTRY may have 4G capabilities but different regions like Europe/Australasia use a different frequency for their 4G network just like they do for their GSM and 3G networks, so a single band device that only works in North America will not work.

If they have nothing to add and think the threads are pointless trolling just stay away.

Myself I can see how some might feel they have been misled but it's not something that would put me off buying one anyway.

Even without 4G the new iPad is faster than previous models on UK mobile networks as it supports HSDPA+. This offers faster speed than HSDPA.

No its a different frequency range to North America, Europe and that other region. I don't get why people are having difficulty with this, different regions have always used different frequencys for their mobile devices, hence why American/European phones never used to work on opposite sides of the pond before manufacturers started making them duel/tri/quad band.

And this is the problem, Apple are selling the iPad3 all over the world with 4G hardware that's NA region specific and advertising it as 4G when they know it cannot do 4G outside of north America.

Exactly, I got this whilst on the train travelling at 60mph+ last week. It's not exactly slow is it?

Actually, I HAVE got involved in the debate, I have posted at least one UK example showing that Apple is currently less than honest in its advertising. A number of people seem to agree with my assessment.

What I haven't done is respond to the usual suspects (of whom you are one) who entirely ignore the debate and childishly choose instead to try to bait me into a reaction - tough luck.

If you have been daft enough to buy an iCon 3, then suck nit up pal :p

How exactly do you know the exact reason every customer who has bought the iPad 3 is?

If you don't then how does this thread have any merit at all.

What I don't get OP is you clearly have no interest in buying and using apple products going on how much you seem to slate them, so why did you even make this post if it isn't going to effect you in the slightest?
