Bobby Rush, a US Democratic Congressman, donned a hoodie on the floor of the House of Representatives as he discussed racial profiling, only to be shouted down by the Speaker (BBC online).

Why wasn't he allowed to keep speaking? Do the crazy Americans have some sort of law against Congressman wearing hoodies in the House of Representatives

On a serious note, where is society going to if you can;t wear certain clothing for fear of being stereotyped ? I wear hoodies because they are both comfortable and practical for me. Why should I then have to live in fear that I will alwasy get pulled by the old bill because of my clothing choice ?
