Crossfire at 1920x1080

hey, i currently have a ocuk hd 6850 can i crossfire it with the asus hd 6850 or does it have to be the exact same card?

would i notice much of an increase in frame rate? i usually play at 1920x1080 and the frame rate is ok nothing great

aslong as its a 6850 it will work fine, doesnt matter what brand,asus/sapphire/powercolor ect

and yes expect to see 30-50% improvement over a single card

The 6xxx series scale really well in crossfire. Nearly 1/1 in some cases.

I'm moving away from two 6870s to a 680 today though, as I have found the 1GB VRAM to be a bit of a limitation. Also, waiting for CAPs is frustrating.

Performance is great, just also expect fan noise and heat to go up when running 2 cards.

havent met much that stops crossfired 5850's at that resolution providing you dont do silly AA levels so you should be fine. enjoy!

Your total load wattage use (taking into consideration your sig setup) with another 6850 should be no more than 500W. The CF setup would use 378W as seen in the Crysis test. You have a quality branded PSU that is capable of running a Crossfire/SLI setup.
