, im trying to decide wheather to get a gigabyte z68 board with a new i5 or wait to see what the z77 boards are like. Will the z77's work with an i5 2500k or not?

should work with a 2500k cant see why not,go for z77 they will have improved features power phases ect

As far as i know April 9th is the official release date for all Z77 boards, but could well be the 8th.

got my eye on a Z77 UD5 - If the sniper board didn't have a terrible colours I'd have gone for that.

Hopefully there will be a UD7 instead.

if seen that board hit nearly 7ghz with 1.7v voltage !!!!

Thanks stulid, just checked out the z77 boards on the gigabyte site and just wondered what you would perhaps consider to be a good mid range board? Something in the range of like a Z68XP-UD3 Not really worried about crossfire etc though
