Silent Hill HD Collection

I am not sure which of the Silent Hill games I actually played? I am fairly sure I played the 1st one (ps1) but not sure if I played others.

I seem to recall at the end the floor starts disappearing and all sorts of weird graphical effects took place? Am I confused or was that one of the SH games?

All I recall is in the end sequence (maybe last 15 mins of the game) as you went between screens or map areas more and more of it was not how it was in the earlier part of the game. The screenshots pasted in this thread look familiar. I also recall you had to go into a hospital and some doors lead to dead ends?

I played some demo that came with RE iirc.... went into a school and something like dead babies with pitch forks came at me from the dark. (I think this was Silent Hill 1)

It was then i knew that id have a heart attack if I played this game at any length :(

I'd imagine it's the demo that came with MGS1.

Did you see how bad the HD collection is? It might ruin your first time playing these games.

Buy a PS2 slim and the games. Must be cheap by now.

To be honest if you never played the originals you wouldn't realize the differance and still enjoy it. Infact how many of us would have revisited them and not noticed anything different!? I'm not condoning the work of the HD versions but sometimes it's better not to look at things too closely.
 
Reading the comparison has put me right off. I only played Silent Hill 2 about 6 months ago, and so with things being fresh enough in my mind, I can imagine i'll not enjoy it.
 
Yeah that's fair enough I suppose. I'm sure the photos highlight the most extreme cases. I think in most cases though once you turn the lights of and get playing you will some forget :).
 
So now the idea of releasing broken games is moving to the console market now :(. The news of all these issues is a massive letdown to me, amazing how something so comparatively simple to do has been completely ruined.

Such a shame, looks like I shall just have to replay the game through on my slim PS2 instead.

Guys can we please just stop posting in this topic? Every time I see it near the top I always click in hope of someone posting something that might have been improved/patched, instead it's just horrid shots of how the game has been ruined.
