FRESH INSTALL OF VISTA ULTIMATE WONT LET ME CONNECT TO INTERNET?

Can anybody help me?

I bought a new HDD, GPU and a copy of Windows Vista Ultimate. Once I installed my HDD and GPU (ASUS GTX 560 Ti) I installed my copy of Vista. Everything is working fine but I cant connect to the internet It says I need the drives but I cant find the right ones! D: I went on my Motherboards website (I have an ASrock Pro3 P67 LGA1155 mobo) and I downloaded the Realtek Ethernet drives for windows vista. I installed them on to my PC and still I cant connect to my wireless router? Have I done something wrong?

Any help is appreciated!

Realtek Ethernet is for wired lan, you will need the wireless ? It appears that this board doesn't have wireless ? Have you got a wifi card installed ?

PS drives, I think you mean 'drivers'?

It has a chipset? Im not sure though and yeah sorry typooo

Does your PC have a wireless adapter?

@Bradguin121 this motherboard does not have a built on wifi adaptor by the looks of it. It must have a PCI/PCI-E/USB WIFI adaptor. You will need to open your PC and get the model of the card itself not the motherboard model.

Im connected via cable. Iv found my router. But when I click it, it comes up saying 'Error Disconnecting: It is not possible to disconnect at this time. The connection is currently busy with a connect or disconnect operation.'

You said you can't connect to your wireless router. Have you restarted? Go into device manager make sure there is no exclamation mark on the device.

Usually when I re-install windows, I can't connect to the internet untill I've unplugged and plugged back in all ethernet cables etc

You will require the chipset driver then.

Is your system x32 bit or x64 bit?

This is a problem with windows.

I've had Gigabyte motheboards bought last year with this issue under windows 7. I assume it's something Realtek changed since the os release.

Grab the vista auto instillation build from here http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads...d=5&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false and let us know how it goes.

Have you got a valid ip address?

Start> search box > yep cmd, hit enter, type ipconfig /all show the results here.

The only drivers I need are:

'PCI Simple Communications Controller' and 'SM Bus Controller'

But I cant seem to find them anywhere! Iv looked on the ASRock Pro3 P67 drivers page and I cant see them. Is there any other way to get them? Because Google isnt even giving me much help and THAT is unusual!!

give us your ip address, subnet mask and gateway.
