Well, my HD 4850 is overheating and it's failing to run new games such as bf3 anyway. With the 670 expected in the next month, should I buy a 570 SC now and then use EVGA'S step-up program to step-up to a 670 by paying the price difference or am I just better waiting..

I'm not sure whether to do the step-up process or to just wait but I can't see any downsides to buying a 570 now then using the step-up process.

TRy reapplying the TIM on the 4850 (will void wrranty) and then wait for the 670 (if there is one)

The downside of the step up is you pay quite a high retail pricefrom EVGA as opposed to discounted prices you'll most likely find @ OcUK/competitors

Have to disagree about the price paid 100 to have my 2 570 stepped up to 580s
