IT's hardly massive, and if it bothers you that much use an ad blocker. It's no more offensive than lingerie adverts on the side of the road, or sports adverts on tv, or even female care and beauty adverts. It's hardly super sexualised advertising, it's a picture of a couple of women in underwear - besides, they're tiny. I really don't see what this is such a big deal.

Is that really not safe for work?

I work in a professional environment whereby I have the opportunity to check the forums throughout the day. While there is no nudity on show, it gives off the wrong impression if anyone should see my screen. I therefore either adblock it or ensure it's out of view.

The one that's perfectly safe for work? What about it?

See above.

Banner at the top not safe for work, LOL, thats the funniest thing I have heard all day.

A) Your in work, you are supposed to be doing work ;)
B) Its hardly revealing
C) It's a tiny banner
D) Stop whining ;)

There you go then, problem solved, stop whining.

Christ Almighty, where are all these castrated men coming out from the woodwork coming from?

I'm 35 and i love looking at women and i always will, maybe you need a long look at yourselves if you can't handle looking at God's work ;)

I don't mind looking at attractive women but I cannot imagine anything more cringe worthy than picking up a new GFX card and getting my photo taking with a plastic looking model.

No thanks.

I agree, weve always been told this is a family forum. But it does make a nice change.

That's the thing - it IS a family forum. There's nothing here that my parents would have stopped me looking at as a teenager. And no one should be using the net unsupervised any younger than that anyway.

Most of us are adults or late teens, I think we're mature enough to realise that this is a bit of fun, and that the occasional thread mentioning fapping or a few pretty girls really isn't a detriment to the forums.

Some people here really do like to complain for the sake of it, it seems.

If I wanted to look at women I will either try it on with my girlfriend or failing that look at other, more specialised sites to fulfil my needs. Funnily enough, I don't think a computer hardware forum is the place for it.

So do i, and no such thing as too much women :D

What about the banner at the top of the screen?

It's awesome :p

This is how I see it:

Adult Forum = April Fool, ongoing joke for years... funny - no issues

Boob Thread = NSFW title, a bit of fun for the National awareness day thing - no issues

Gadget Show/Hot Women = Awesome, most companies do it, more business for OcUK... only a good thing.

What was the thread for again? Some people get annoyed by the oddest things! :)

Have to say, well honestly, pfffffft, whoopdy doo, hot sexy women on monitors, big deal, how old are you? 5?
Booth Babes? as has been said countless times before, Sex sells. If you saw an advert with old fat hairy men on the product, would you be inclined to buy it? not likely
as for the national cleavage day thread, it was a giggle, and personally i liked it, something i've noticed on this board, not just in GD is that everything is too serious, and well to a certain extent, it does ruin the atmosphere,

The fact is that people are entitled to an opinion on the matter which will be dictated by personal circumstances. I was sharing my experience and opinion.

To me, it's borderline. I wouldn't click on a NSFW thread at work, but equally to someone walking past my monitor it may raise questions which are awkward to explain.

Personally I think the boob thread is a bit tacky although I don't mind it and have had a good look through the thread. :)

I don't find it offensive but can see the OP's point, especially if we ended up with a Max Power type atmosphere on here as in my opinion that publication caters to morons and the majority of the women in it have faces that could turn milk sour.

Also, I won't be loggin on on Testicular Cancer Awareness day when it's the girls turn.

Some people will look at it as though one is only going to attract punters if they have some girls flashing their wares! I guess it is a gimmick / bit if fun but it could also put people off from seeing OcUK as a serious company to deal with?

I dont know, time will tell.
