So why are we jumping on the Kickstarter bandwagon with LEISURE SUIT LARRY IN THE LAND OF THE LOUNGE LIZARDS?

It’s simple. We love Larry…Larry Laffer. We were there when he was born, in 1987. We were there for his last adventure, LOVE FOR SAIL, almost exactly 10 years later.

And we’ve long wished for a version that would combine the characters and game play we already love with:

  • The freedom to play on mobile devices
  • A modern point-and-click/touchscreen interface
  • Updated, ultra-high res graphics
  • Fully voiced characters
  • Even more of the humor that’s made Al Lowe a household name…like “Borders” and “Enron”!
So we’re making it. From scratch. And we want YOUR help.

That just wouldn't work for this kind of game. :( You'd miss out on all the hilarious combinations and mistypes that are unachievable with a point and click interface.

As a franchise, I think it's a bit like Duke Nukem, long past it's prime. I'm not sure half of it would even be funny even more.

Good luck to them though.
 
Didnt like the later lsl games at all and the 3d ones were crap as hell. The only decent LSL one were the first 2 maybe 3.

I just hope its nothing like that ship based one as i hated that it was so boring, visually nice but boring as heck. I prefered the more freedom ones of the older ones as you wernt confined to a boat and had more to explore and stuff.

Now a another police quest which is heavily based on pq1 the old style one not remade one would be SWEET! as i actually completed that.

Edit - Ok just finished watching the vid, and there remaking the first game which is sweet. I hope they pull it off and dont dumb it down and get a M rating like they always should. (hot coffee mod style perhaps lol), I wish them the best. I might donate even but i really only reserve that for games like grim fandango or homeworld new games if they appear on kickstart.

LEISURE SUIT LARRY IN THE LAND OF THE LOUNGE LIZARDS was a classic. I owned all the quest games, when I built my first PC. They were all great games.
 
Oh my goodness, what a blast from the past, I remember my friend's dad had these games and we had to skeakily play them while he was at work. I still remember the excitement :D
 
Why does it have to be a remake? Why not make something new and original rather than re-covering old ground. It already had a VGA update so wasnt really needed as version is perfectly playable.
 
They aren't just remaking it, they are adding stuff to it as well, but whatever really, I love these remakes / "updates".
 
To be honest its been that long since i have played lsl1 it will feel like a new larry game to me when it comes out, the new gfx and full voice acting is gona be mint. I really would love to know if its any cruder and stuff since theres no publisher for it due to ks. Be nice to have a proper pervy game hehe with a cough hot coffee mod included cough, for the laughs.
 
Came out today its on steam. Bit pricey i think for it but was tempted to get it to support the devs but i just spent so much lately i need to cutback a little. Hopefully it might pop up in the steam sales for a little bit reduced to near a tenner.

Watched a little of a walkthrough review thing on utube and the guy recording was peeved off at the adult questions to actually play the game (yep thats back it seem). But he generally liked the voice over stuff.
