I adore the original Sweeney,even got the pilot film Regan,this new attempt is just wrong...leave well alone!!
They did the same with Minder,Shane Ritchie playing Arthur Dailey.....just terrible.

Ex-Eastenders need to pay the rent somehow (no doubt they'll be filling the extras quota).
I always enjoy watching Ray acting hard even though he's almost an OAP now. At least he's a real cockney tough guy (did boxing as a young 'un).

Agree with the rest though, no need to update something that can't be improved.

If they called it something else and made no sweeney references it might have been an okay (albeit) unoriginal film, but they havent - so its doomed.

It'll never be The Sweeney, much like the abomination prequel films to the original Star Wars trilogy were never Star Wars, but I'll give it a go on Sky when it's on.
