*** The official Sony Xperia S thread ***

Not so easy to get it free now, O2 for one has put the cost back up to £59.99 on it's £21 per mth tariff

It doesn't matter what they do, nobody buys phones directly from networks as they are almost always poor value compared to third party sites. :p

For Gel case, are we allowed to link to the rain forest site?

i believe so, as long as you aren't linking to a product or type of product that OcUK sells, same as ebay i think.

My Xperia S arrived today!
Shame it arrived at work... :( I have to go in and fetch it now :p

I got mine directly from Three, it seemed to be the best deal and third party sites don't seem to offer anything better on that network.

For battery, see post #270.

That battery fix is not something I'd want to apply yet, I'll wait for the UK fix from Three

Yes I think rain forest links are allowed for this. I see lots of similar items on there, it would be good to get something that I know someone else is happy with

Upgraded to one of these from a HTC Desire, really liking it so far and not finding the battery life too bad at all.

I like the swipe functionality on the stock keyboard, really nice and seems better than others I've tried.

Anyone bought any cases yet? I've just ordered one of the official Sony cases to try.

From a desire though any phone would'nt seem that bad :P

Gf has just got one today free on a 36ppm contract.

I'm getting mine tomorrow to replace my 3gs :D

It is epic, the screen is absolutely stunning!

Yes the screen is incredible, and that is what you interact with every day.

I don't find the battery life too bad. Most of my colleagues at work charge their phones every day anyway. Depends how you use it I guess.

Sorry if this is covered, I've searched and it doesn't appear to be. I've just got hold of an O2 locked Xperia S, what's the best way to get it unlocked? Asking O2?

Looks like it was a bad idea though, as the bootloader on this one can't be unlocked :(

I think a solution will be made over at XDA regarding the bootloader - well I bloody well hope so. You can debrand your phone though so you can flash to your desired firmware.
