UFC v Wrestling which sport is more ENTERTAINING TO WATCH

How is UFC "not real"?

Because it tries to brand itself as mixed martial arts and real fighting/combat when it has rules designed to force a certain style (which the US audience like) iirc the UFC has more rules than boxing. True MMA has been around a lot longer than the UFC its just in Japan/etc they just call it "fighting". I have seen guys half the size of the top UFC guys that would send them to the emergency room in less than 60 seconds in a "real" fight.

The UFC is by no means fake, but it is controlled to create a certain type of fight. Hence its less "real" than a "real" fight.

If im going to watch people having a not real fight I would rather watch WWE as the drama and the insane stunts make it better imo.

And if I'm gonna watch real football, I'll watch the random **** heads kicking a ball around the street (That has less rules than football too so could be classed as more real?)
PS rules designed to force a certain style (which the US audience like)? How many American hosted events have you seen where the dumb crowd are booing any form of ground work because they just dont understand it? I don't think I've seen an event where a match has gone to the ground and the dumb so called fans arent booing it even though there's more going on than two waltzing around the octagon??

Ha so you want extreme death enducing blood sports or the most dramatized combat dancing, nothing else will do.

The fact you pick wwe kinda suggests you don't like the former. UFC has rules to protect fighters and to allow it to become the mainstream sport it is becoming.

So much wrong with this thread. UFC is an organization within the sport of MMA, UFC itself is not a sport. WWE wrestling is for entertainment, it's basically a soap for men and kids to watch.

WHy are you guys so miserable saying ima get banned, I just want post a thread on your guys opinions, do you enjoy insulting or having a go at others on the internet, there, I did not insult anyone just stated a topic chose my side and want your guys opinions.

The are so many threads in this forum i didnt notice the sport section so im sorry for posting it in the wrong section however its not really wrong because this is GD.

Also I SAID ENTERTAINING like eastenders, only fools and horses. UFC is more real and i like the fights but there hardly any drama and ima sucka for some drama in the ring :P. Wrestling has been a huge part of my life and my family, its been a family thing for over decades now. All my cousins enjoy it, brothers, nephews we all watch it

UFC is only entertaining when someone gets knocked out or two guys beat the living hell out of each other.

Its slowing becoming more like boxing, more of a technical sport than a fight. There are way too many fights going to a decision these days.

wwe can be great or horrible. WWE have the ability to make sure a match is entertaining... which sometimes they do and sometimes they don't.

Both are entertaining in their own ways.

This just turns into a "my sport is real and yours isn't" arguement. People that really like UFC and diss wrestling for being "fake" probably think they're tough or too grown up for wrestling.

Don't tell me no here enjoys a good pixar or disney movie every now and again? Everyone has a kid inside them.

After watching WWF when I was younger in the years of The rock, Stone cold, Mankind/Cactus Jack etc

I'd go with UFC :p WWF/WWE is a shadow of its former self in my opinion, I watched the HHH v Undertaker fight just gone it was nothing like it used to be.

I prefer real fighting & that is a lot more entertaining. Especially when its a knock out your not expecting!

[edit:- for the record Robert1986 I love Pixar films, Well apart from CARS that was rubbish imo]

UFC by a country mile as it's not fiction (which makes it more entertaining..)

Um...

In fact scrap that WWE womens wrestling is one of the most entertaining spectacles on the telly!

When I was younger it was WWF, now I much prefer UFC/MMA.

A lot of MMA fans are ex WWF fans whether they like to admit it or not.

The reason I prefer the UFC is because of the reality of it all, any given fight can end in a split second via some very spectacular stuff.

It's not the brutal sport it's painted to be by the uneducated, I suggest anyone who wants an education in MMA to just sit down and watch some of the pre fight build up material or the UFC All Access programmes and you'd soon realise you're dealing with intelligent individuals who have an extremely good work ethic and are far away from being brutish thugs.
