sub 4 yr old diesel estate

looking for a new taxi.

need the following

circa 140/150 horses minimum before mapping
estate
sub 4 yr old ideally around 3 yr old 58/09 plate ideally
and under 6grand or thereabouts


i have on my shortlist so far Vectra/insignia or a mondeo. any other suggestions for a cheap n cheerful reliable workhorse?
 
well we all know the market is constantly changing,

i've been looking at cheap mazda 6s this week, its always good to get some inspiration of things to go look at as my time to change is drawing increasingly closer.

come one now i took the forums advice and binned the alfa for a sensible diesel focus now :)
 
that new mondeo shuld prove to be pretty solid, theres an 08 one on ebay with 300k on it lol, the volvo and citroen have same engine
 
that golf does look quite nice if a bit more than i'd be looking to pay, maybe a tad on the small side though for my needs. could quite fancy a mondeo tbh

and Fox, bit of a change of circumstances means i'll be spending less than i was in my last thread :)

cant believe thats over £2500 with over a day to go. certainly wouldnt be put off by those miles though tbh as long as I could give it a thorough once over before purchase but i'd be looking to pay no more than 3k. Seen plenty of octavias top a half million miles and as long as you keep on any car maintenance wise and its not abused most cars could cover over 500k miles

yup i thought it was pretty amazing too shame its already at 2500

i might put a bid in but id love to know if its had injectors/turbo/clutch/bushes
 
milage is just a number, judge the car on its condition

only thing is with all common rail diesels is the injectors they wear out and make the car clattery and smokey especially after 140k+
