Wheeler Dealers New Series

I seem to be watching loads of the old episodes as of late. There really ought to be a drinking game for this programme.

Take a shot if Mike turns up after the first half and claims it looks the same as when he bought it.
Take a shot if Mike says he's going to go in with his size tens on.
Take a shot if Mike says he won't take anything less then a certain amount and then does anyway.

etc. etc.

Still love the programme though. :)
 
Watched an episode last night with the e30 325i touring. Nearly made me want one!


Wish I had Ed's skills...
 
One thing i love about Mike Brewer at the start of every show he haggles with the person selling the car he's after. In one episode at the end when he was selling a car the propective buyer was making an offer and Brewer then says "why when you're selling a car do people always expect money off".

I always find the amounts "baragained for" both buying and selling hilarious, i.e (warning the following sums are made up) drawing breath on £200 off a £22k asking price as if it's a massive ask and trying to get it down to £100. God knows what colour he'd turn when I wanted £2k off as a first offer.
 
Whats the point in starting a new thread when one already exists for it? Its what "Search" is for :)

Great observation there but i'm sure theres more BMW nuts in here than Fiat Dino ones :)
 
Just got Virgin Media XL package and been loving this show, together with Desert Car Kings and Overhaulin. Prefer the latter two for the cool Yank cars, and DW for the better technical content (from Ed). :)
 
I was surprised how small the front brake calipers are on the M5. I would have thought a car this expensive from new would have at least 4 pots, not some crappy single pot sliding caliper.

Still a lovely motor though. Looks best in light metallic blue.
 
New tyres all round and think they sprayed the whole front end, no stone chips afterwards!

The bodge was just upsetting. Lets take the standard fit Xenon lights and.... rip them out and throw them away replacing them with Halogen Angel Eyes because we can't be bothered to do the job properly.

Just arghhg.
 
I really enjoyed the program, not sure about the headlights, I suppose it gave it a fresher look but im really not into BMWs. i prefered the morgan from last week.

It seems to be how they "fix" most things. Just bodge it in such a way as people won't notice and flog it on.

Given they rarely make a profit, and when you work out that effectively the money earnt is merely your wages for spending the time doing the work, it looks almost pointless.
