Except high density DIMMs are just as hard to OC as fully populated channels (not that people have had trouble overclocking 8 DIMMs, X79 is a beast when it comes to memory clocking)

Shame, I like EVGA stuff, but I'm not interested in 4 slots, half the appeal of X79 for me was 8 slots.

EDIT: If it were really about "full OC capability" then their S1155 offerings would only have 2 DIMM slots, they don't. It's cheaping out, plain and simple :(
