*** The official Sony Xperia S thread ***

Sorry if this is covered, I've searched and it doesn't appear to be. I've just got hold of an O2 locked Xperia S, what's the best way to get it unlocked? Asking O2?

Looks like it was a bad idea though, as the bootloader on this one can't be unlocked :(
I've got an O2 Xperia S too. Just ask O2 to unlock - it took me around 10 working days to get it unlocked.

Bootloader will remain locked though, nothing can be done about that.

Is there any way to boost the volume on these at all?

Also, I have a thread on XDA regarding file copying here. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I just took delivery of the official Sony hardcase made by Roxfit. Really nice quality case. If anyone wants one that doesn't add bulk to the phone, should be perfect for you.

Got a couple of photos:

I'm being a bit thick here but if you dropped the handset from say waist height, wouldn't the phone pop out of the hard case upon impact with the floor?

I've already dropped my Xperia a couple of times and thankfully no drama thanks to the gel case.

I'm not sure how mean, the case goes all around the side and covers the bottom of the phone.

It's very snug fit, it wouldn't pop out unless you pressed on it hard enough in the right areas I don't think.

Just ordered a Fiio E6 to sort the volume out :)

I like my music loud, and hopefully this will help :)

Yep. Only downside is battery life, but ICS is supposedly much better with that as well as firmware updates which will come. The screen is simply stunning, and given that is your primary interface with the phone, the importance of that cannot be overstated.
