Hi all, I`ve encountered blue screen recently, it said something to do with memory, so I thought eh this is a new one... went online and saw it linked to problems with RAM and with advise to download memtest ISO. So I did it... (I`ve put everything into stock before doing so)

I didnt finish the test since I think it crashed as well, time stopped and errors kept going into nearly 1 million, reminding me of matrix... I guess I have to get new memory then? I have 2 pieces 4 gb each, PC works ok, rarely blue screens,I dont know how it can even boot with that many errors in its ram let alone work and play games.

My motherboard has 4 slots and they are coloured pairly, so I stuck my ram into both same colours, maybe thats where problem lies?? If I stick it into 2 different coloured slots issue would be gone?? (Ram should be identical since it came in 1 pack, maybe they swapped it....)

Yeah test each one separately and see which one is failing. Corsair RAM has a lifetime guarantee so RMA it. You may have to return both sticks of RAM as they came in a kit so keep this in mind.

What voltage is the memory set at in the BIOS, you may need to increase to 1.55v / 1.56v.

If not try individually and see how you get on. I think you have them in the correct slots.

I am thinking of using some ram stressing utility, that would consume most of my ram and see if it blue screens anything?? But I dont know any utility that consumes ram :/

I used intel burn test, and made PC use up 7gb of ram and it was fine, damn this is a mystery.
