One thing overclocking features, I have the MSI Z68A-GD65 (G3) and it only had one level of Load Line Calibration, also no DVID/Offset function, I haven't read anywhere that MSI have added these extra features to the Z77 lineup.

Also the Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H VRM uses an 18 phase PWM, 6 of those 8 phases are doubled by special doubler ICs of which 12 are for the CPU, the MSI Z77A-GD65 has 12 phases of which 9 are for the CPU.

Gigabyte have the best UK RMA Warranty service their is, I am also looking forward to playing with this new 3D BIOS on the Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H, plus FREE Antec Kuhler 620 Watercooler on first 30 purchases.

Don't get me wrong the MSI motherboard was a good board, simple to overclock but I want the extra features this time around with Gigabyte, the free cooler is a bonus I wasn't expecting! Nice.

no use of a Z77 motherboard for those of us upgrading from an old-machine without the CPUs !

Am I alone in thinking that the Asrock extreme4 is really great value for money? As is the Gigabyte m3 sniper.

Wanted Z77 and preferably matx, cant decide between Gene or M Pro by Asus.... Think the Gene is worth £30 more?

The M3 has a 4 pin CPU power, not 8 pin. Might effect the overclocking potential of it.

Spotted that one, couple of things im not a huge fan of gigabytes bios, however have they changed to a proper uefi bios now? also I noticed its only got a 4pin +12v socket compared to the asus's 8pin not sure how much difference it really makes again

I will take ATX or wait for the eATX which is out a little later, after dropping ITX i feel gimped with even mATX for Xfire

Yeah although the boards support it I wouldnt bother with sli or xfire on a matx, tbh i wouldnt bother full stop a single 680 or 7970 is good enough for anything

Yeah the Gigabyte Z77's have full UEFI Bios now, they also with a 3D Bios as well. It was one of the reasons I've gone Gigabyte this time around.

If I were to go SFF it would be my first venture into something smaller than ATX but the Gigabyte Z77MX-D3H seems to tick a lot of boxes for the money.

Not sure what the audio and LAN chips are like though?
