This isn't quite GD worthy, but it's worth a few chuckles. I watched a youtube tutorial on changing hair colour (dead easy if you don't know how btw).
I decided to practice on my mum and sister, and posted pics of them with pink and purple hair (and myself as a blonde) just for a laugh. I must've done a reasonable job because everyone is commenting things like "you look hawt" "work it girl" etc, and despite my attempts to let them in on the joke like "weird how we all decided to dye our hair at the same time", no one seems to be getting it. It's providing me with great entertainment. It's mostly amusing because my mum is most certainly NOT the type to dye her hair pink, but no one has the heart to tell her it looks weird.
I suggest you try it for yourself and see how many people you can string along
