Manson released on parole?

These vermin should have all been given the chair tbh, shame only one of them has died of cancer.

Despite the fact that California removed the option of the death penalty entirely?

Realistically he's almost certain to never get parole unless perhaps he's on deaths door and even then I'd doubt it. To deny due process in this case simply wouldn't be worth it - the chance of any decision apart from him to stay in jail is negligible, he doesn't want to be released anyway apparently so it's not as if there's any possible gain from abusing the process.

What's slightly more interesting to me is that in a previously released photograph in 2009 he looked to have quite a receding hairline and in this more recent one he seems to have regrown his hair.

Is the subject of this thread based on a Daily Mail headline because it certainly looks that way.

This is just protocol, I very much doubt he'll be released. He doesn't want to be anyway.

Manson NEVER killed anyone! This whole mass murderer stuff really winds me up. He convinced others to do his bidding but never did anything himself.

Do you actually understand how the law in the US works? Or here for that matter, where it's pretty similar? Please go and read up.

They should juse kill everyone on death row in America, why bother paying for them to live

Because a significant proportion keep getting released when it turns out the evidence against them was wrong? Or for that and other reasons they had a farce of a trial? But that's a whole other thread, and there are many here already.

I do see what your problem is? He didn't kill anyone, yet people believe he did because he's called a "mass murderer".

I'm not trying to say that he shouldn't be imprisoned.

People call Stalin and Hitler mass murderers, yet they didn't kill anybody. They are all called mass murderers because they convinced/forced their followers to kill lots of people, and without the initial order, those people would not have died.

bit of a fail subject.
One of the most disturbing films I've ever seen is Helter Skelter about the Manson story

Yeah thats fair enough although im sure they both killed plenty of people personally. You cant call Manson a serial killer when he didnt kill anyone, he orchestrated spree killings really.

Guilty by association then? He was the mastermind behind the whole thing, whether or not he held the knife or not is irrelevent.

Osama wasn't flying the plane that hit the World Trade Center, but he's still guilty because he was involved
