I've just bought the clio sport interior for it so i might qualify![]()
I bought it on the low road tax and high mpg but with 100bhp and 180nm of torque i was wondering what it would be like as the stats beat the new diesel zetec s and is lighter.
I was wondering how important is torque is and is it some thing i will notice over a petrol car ?
It's a 100hp diesel, you're not going to notice the awesome torque.
Did you not test drive it?
Yeah you will notice it on the diesels. I have a Clio 172 which has no torque, has to be revved to get anywhere
Just noticed you're in Derby, if you have any issues with it go see Mick at www.diamondmotors.co.uk. He's a proper Renault specialist.
You bought a car you didn't drive first?

I have the same car on a 04 plate.
I have done 110,000 miles in it over the last 3 years. It can shift for what it is. 100bhp in a car that size is perfectly adequate. 60-70mpg on the motorway at 65-70mph is the norm.
It's had nothing done other than wear and tear items and the total mileage is now 184,000.
I find it perfectly comfortable in Dynamique trim. Seats are excellent as is the ride. Before anyone jumps to conclusions about necessity and choice, for context I have 2 other cars to use. 10 plate Mercedes CLS and a 08 plate Audi A4 cabriolet.
I am starting to use the Audi more now. I bought it to take over the commuting duties (167 miles one way) and decided that the Renault wasn't worth selling. The fact that I am still happy to use the Renault signifies to me that despite many peoples presumptions it's a pretty decent car. (or I'm a masochist as friends used to tell me when I did the commute in my VX Turbo)
Yep, you don't see many. You can tell by the badge on the side of the car.
Very brave to buy a car that's significantly below market value without seeing it first. Private sale or dealer?
