Right guys, Im going to be buying a new rig from OCUK in the next few weeks (after IB is released) and im a little confused! The MOBO i've chosen is the 'P8Z68 DELUXE/GEN3'
My problem is this, The case i have chosen is the bitfenix colossus which has 2x usb 3.0 ports on the front. Now the 'P8Z68 DELUXE/GEN3' comes with it's own USB 3.0 box (which i assume will be wired up when i order)
Looking at the mobo i can only find ONE usb 3.0 header for front panels! :s i want to know whether OCUK will wire up the built in USB 3.0's on the case itself or choose to wire up the USB front box that comes with the MOBO. As it seems i can only have one or the other!

Help appreciated guys! :)

Yes that board only has one USB 3.0 header, so you can either have the case ports at the front, or the USB hub that comes with the board - but not both.

I'd imagine OcUK will just use the case ports, and send the hub separately in case you ever want to use it, they would probably use the hub if you specifically asked them to though.

Drop them a line in the pre-sales forum and find out.

P.S: you may want to choose the P8Z77 Deluxe instead - uses the newer Z77 chipset if you are waiting for ivybridge.

Thanks for the help fella :) I will choose a new MOBO when they offer it. Because IB isnt out yet the mobo selection on the 'build your own' list is for SB CPU's only :(

I'd get one using the NEC or Asmedia chipset (biased toward NEC), avoid Etron at all costs, not tried any of the VIA solutions.

Not for internal headers afaik. I've seen converters that convert the header to standard ports but not one that splits headers. Not sure if that'd be such a good idea anyhow.
