I am hoping the dismal European performance, Scholes' necessary return and Rooney's near-departure last year will spur things on the investment side. It is really quite phenomenal how we beat expensive sides like City to the title and it's all down to Ferguson. He needs the tools though.

edit: Since Scholes came back out of retirement, United got 34 out of 36 points. I think it is actually fair to say he saved our hides.

Great result.

Great show of class from Ramsey at the end to miss that chance, his conscience wouldn't allow him to take another life.

What a screamer by Arteta...superb goal and i think City are more or less done competing for the EPL title...lolworthy that in the end Ballotelli got sent off...much over due that sending off.

So we are back in 3rd place with a few points between us and Chelsea...think its going to be between Spurs and Arsenal 3rd place this season.

To be fair we should have scored at 3-4 goals...City were outclassed by us tonight...wonder how that little mercenary Nasri feels about losing to us:p...£100mill+ they have spent and they still cant win the title hahahaha. As ive said before City need to ditch Mancini and get a manager who can win league titles aka Mourinho...plus with the amount of money City have, Mourinho would be in absolute heaven and win a shedload of titles as well.

Regardless extremely proud of our guys to bag 3 pts from City...didnt think we could do it but so so glad we did. Still got Chelsea to play but i think we will bag them and tag them:p...they arent that strong especially after the way they played against Wigan the other day.
 
Tbf when you think Utd have been missing Vidic for most of the season too it's a pretty impressive achievement, you'd have to think though that they can't get away with doing this again next season i.e. relying on the old guard and sheer dogged Fergie determination to drag them through to the end.

good result today, but wtf ramsey I could have put RvP onto that ball or nailed it myself

loads of missed chances today as well, RvP should have scored that header that Vermealen saved, then vermealen should have scored that rebound, walcott can't finish etc. etc.

Nice find there with that form table.

Only Wolves(0) have gained less points in the last 6 games than Liverpool(4) have. And Man United(18) have gained over double the amount of points that Man City(8) have over the last 6 games..

As a Norwich fan it is not good to see us 18th in the form table for the last 6 games with 5 points gained in the period, however premier league safety is 99% certain so no major concerns. Hopefully we can bring in some new center halfs to replace our incompetent defence ready for next season and then we should be ready for another good season.

EDIT: Spurs also only 5 points from a possible 18 whereas Chelsea got 10 and Newcastle got 13, if they don't sort it out then Europe could very easily be snatched away from their grasps.

I am rather hoping Newcastle get fourth. Good business model, playing fairly nice football. Also as an Arsenal fan I hate Chelsea and Tottenham. Plus I am dating a Geordie.
 
sure mancini wanted mario to be sent off so saves him the head ache of picking him the next 5 games,we all seen the red coming yet mancini left him on the pitch
 
Would have Balotelli at Utd no problem. Mancini has shown all season he cannot mange him. Constantly berating him from the sidelines and constantly publicly criticising him. He is a great talent that needs nuturing. Not from a nutjob like Mancini who can't get that extra 10% from his players.

This time of season, Fergie closes ranks and let's it all go off around him and the players. Mancini on the other hand has let the pressure get to him. More importantly to the players.
 
It's 10 appearances (including as a sub) - but the PL does have special dispensation to award medals i.e. for 2nd choice goalkeepers.

Owen needs to play 9 more times then :p

Though it seems a silly rule in some ways, even if you play a couple times or once even you are still making a contribution to the team over a season however small - i.e. Vidic technically won't get a medal for 'only' 6 games which seems harsh.
