Not read whole thread, anyone else think Mancini left Balotelli on purely to get a red so he had someone to blame? he managed to blame Balotelli last week as well despite getting two goals.
His sub's were pathetic, Koralov, just to try and score from a freekick, who was abysmal. Taking off a ineffective Nasri for a left back and playing him out of position, taking off Aguero who had zero service, and leaving on Balotelli who should have been sent off twice?
Either he wanted the excuse or he's an inept manager. The lack of tactical change, offensive substitutions from Mancini was just embarassing, I think while he wanted Balotelli to take the blame he also didn't want Tevez to come on and be a hero again. No reason at all Tevez couldn't have come on for probably Milner who was utterly ineffective, or Barry for the same reason, and gone all out attack.
City should be embarrassed to have him as a manager, when everythings going fine, doesn't do anything spectacular, when the wheels come off he sacrifices players to the press to excuse himself.
Balotelli wasn't even slightly to blame for last weeks performance, he calmed down one fight and the only "bad" thing he did was not want a left footed guy who doesn't score very much at all to take a freekick that no left footer should ever take(if they only ever shoot). This week, bad tackle, should have been red carded, for an early tackle, he was walking the line from that second, every single second he stayed on the pitch after he actually got a yellow was 100% Mancini's fault.
Utd deserve the title, I still don't think they've come anywhere near City's form in the first half of the season, but it doesn't matter, City were tearing people apart, but winning 6-1 against Utd is still only 3 points. Utd haven't won many games as well, winning to games by 1 goal is obviously better than winning one 6-1, and losing one by a single goal.
City have been well below title winning form for 4 months now and Mancini has done smeg all except watch the performance get worse and more players drop out of form.
The daft thing is, Balotelli getting a red had no bearing on the game, he brought on a guy to hopefully win a freekick rather than improve how the team was playing, this is a freekick taker who in the league has had 24 shots, 5 on target, and 2 goals, a pathetic return for a "specialist", 55 shots total in all competitions and only 4 goals for him, this is who Mancini decided to rest the title on? De Jong on the bench who should without question have come on instead of Pizzaro, Richards for some attacking pace.... nope. He went with a midfield of Nasri, Milner, Barry and Balotelli, with no real pace, when Richards has been one of their best players all season and one of their only good players in the past 3 months? He got almost every last decision wrong about this game, and gave up and went for a 1/1,000,000 shot when he decided to bank the season on a woefully non prolific free kick taker.
