So it's time for me to purchase a new monitor as I want a 24" LED monitor to replace my old 22" LCD monitor.

Looking around, these 4 are the ones that I'm interested in and wanted to know if any of you guys have them and what your personal opinions are.

I'm leaning more towards the ASUS as I've heard good things about this monitor.

Asus VE247H 24" Widescreen LED Multimedia Monitor - Black

BenQ G2420HDBL 24" Widescreen LED Monitor - Black

IIyama Prolite E2475HDS 24" Widescreen LED Business Monitor - Black

Samsung S24A300BL 24" Widescreen LED Monitor

Thank you.

They would all output a similar type of image. So I would go for the cheapest or best looking which would probably be the samsung as you get the VAT back.

Well arrived this morning and is awesome. Shows me how worn out my old monitor was. Crisp clean display and not one dead pixel! (never had a monitor without at least ONE dead git).

Worth the money all day long.

It depends on the specific monitor. If you are looking at monitors with TN panel technology then 2ms indicates the use of grey to grey acceleration to boost certain pixel transitions. 5ms is typical for a TN panel monitor without grey to grey acceleration. There is certainly a difference between a 'strong' 2ms monitor and a 'strong' 5ms monitor but these figures are often quite misleading and you need to consider each monitor individually. In the case of this thread Samsung's modern 2ms monitors have well-implemented grey to grey acceleration and offer better performance than any 5ms rated monitor. If you are looking at non-TN panel types then things get a bit murky - you will see some VA panels advertised as 5ms. In practice they are very unresponsive indeed. :)

If you still haven't decided I would change that list a little if I was you. The Iiyama Prolite E2473HDS is a much better monitor than the one you have posted. If you want a better stand then get the B version of the same monitor.

Just ordered the BenQ XL2420T have'nt upgraded in like 5 years, trusted Samsung 930BF has worked so well all this time. I've used a Dell U2010 before but its £85 more than the Benq. I'm surprised you have'nt added the Dell U2412M in your choice. Do remember that the Dell ultrasharp come with a Zero Pixel warranty.
