Bank Holiday gift from GIGABYTE

Just ordered one of the last 3 of these boards. They are all sold out now, so I am glad I did not wait. Anyone have any idea when the ivy bridge chips are out? I can finish my set up then :)
 
Might have been interested had it not been for a lot of hassle with my first Gigabyte motherboard + Gigabyte GFX card combi.

I shall go back to ASUS for my next upgrade.
 
im soo glad that i bought this motherboard with the free 620kuhler when i did, thought theyd go quick ;)

im so looking forward to the launch of ivy bridge, still haven't decided on what chip i'll get (a K versions)
but whatever one i go with, it'll blow my old pc away,
im still using my AMD 64 4000+ single core, its slighty oc'd at 2.71 but its starting to really show its age
i was going to upgrade when bulldozer was launched but its poor form put me off & very nearly bought
into sandybridge but decided to hold off & wait for ivybridge, so after a spending spree the other night,
i bought the motherboard, inc the kuhler, 4x4gb 1600 corsair low profile ram & a 128gb OCZ Vertex4,
i'll just need to wait eagerly for the 30th of april ;)
 
Doesn't offering a promotion and then selling out before it starts alienate more people than it impresses?

Yeah I thought that also. Seems odd to say the promotion starts at a certain time and date, but then sell the product well before. Luckily I still managed to get one, but I would be a bit annoyed if I missed the promo.
 
OcUK put theirs up for sale quite a while before the offer was supposed to start.

If you waited until 11am on 8 April they were all already sold by then.

So... with it being only 30 in stock and pre-order, once they gone they gone... saves loads of hassle, well for me anyway. :p

Amazed mine is arriving today! ordered it on Friday, not bad considering it's been a bank holiday weekend. :)
 
So I ordered my board on the phone on Friday, checking I'd be receiving a free cooler. Arrives today, no cooler. After a phone cool to OCUK they said they sold out too soon and I wasn't eligible. Kind of confused as I definitely asked them to check if I'd receive a cooler and not just a board. Would have waited otherwise as there is still a month till ivy. Poor showing by OCUK IMO!

did you not get an email invoice wit 2 items on it, the mobo and cooler?

I got my board from DPD earlier and came with a cooler...
