Is there an Iphone 4s 5.1 (B1) Jailbreak yet?

Even though I got an Iphone 4S 5.1, there is a code next to it which mine is (9B179) and there hasn't been a jailbreak that works for it yet. Most of them are for A5 and under. You can see the code by going into your phone general setting and in the about folder you can see phone version along with the code. Just tried the link you sent me and still it does not work. Guess its a matter of waiting :(

Oh right I see!

Well at the moment (as mentioned on Jailbrea.kr), there is no Jailbreak available for any A5 device on iOS 5.1. Any non-A5 device, there is a Tethered Jailbreak around which means you need a computer to jailbreak it on every restart of the phone.

In your case, there isn't anything around you can do to jailbreak right now.

You could check out this. They've found a way you can download from 5.1 to 5.0.1. There is currently a jailbreak available for the iPhone 4S on 5.0.1, so as long as you can downgrade, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to jailbreak :)

But make sure you read up before doing it, I've never tried this before and so can't promise you it works.
 
Never heard of this B1 thing before. I'm fairly sure that there's no jailbreak for the 4S running iOS 5.1 yet, full stop. Lots of websites offering fake ones, though...
 
Think you are getting confused. A5 is the processor model and not what you are looking at.

When a jailbreak comes out it will be for a certain firmware and a certain processor model generally. A4 devices and A5 devices differ and why we have had to wait, currently only A4 devices (iPad, iPhone 4) can be tether jailbroken on 5.1, everyone else is waiting..

You may also be getting mixed up with a jailbreak that was availiable for 5.0.1 and not 5.1. Never been a jailbreak availiable for 4S on 5.1

ops, I'm a n00b to all this so thanks for putting me straight. Guess i just need to wait until it's out
 
Should be something coming soon. Redmondpie put out an article earlier today I think with some more info.
