How do I switch Crossfire on?

I just got a second 6850, slotted it into a spare PCI-e slot and put the crossfire bridge between it and my other card. My understanding was that when I booted up, an option would appear in Catalyst Control Center to enable Crossfire.

This has not happened. What have I done wrong?

Yes.

Edit: I've just updated my drivers and ccc, and now there is an option to enable crossfire. I think that's done it. It's hard to tell if game performance has increased because I didn't measure frame rates or anything.

Do both GPU's get detected?

type in ccc in your start menu and it should load up the catalyst software, click on performance then amd crossfire - enable

quick note - i had the latest beta drivers and there wasnt an option for xfire so i downloaded 11.12 and everything works fine

Okay I'm convinced now. Since I updated drivers and ccc, a second display adaptor has appeared in my system device manager window. The crossfire box is ticked, and I think that's fixed it. Thanks guys.

I think my previous driver/ccc install must have gotten confused because it was installed when I only had one card. Maybe refreshing it allowed it to detect the second one.
